Ike & Tina Turner ont enflammé les night-clubs enfumés comme les festivals pop et les hit-parades avec leurs interprétations hyper sexuées de « River Deep – Mountain High », « I’ve Been Loving You Too Long », « Proud Mary », etc. Champions du R&B, adoptés par le public rock, ils ont contribué à effacer toute notion de barrières raciales ou stylistiques. No matter what, ils restent un couple légendaire.
Ike & Tina Turner set smoky nightclubs ablaze even before doing the same to pop festivals and the charts, especially with uber-sex performances of River Deep – Mountain High, I’ve Been Loving You Too Long and Proud Mary, etc. As R&B champions adopted by a rock audience they contributed to erase all notions of barriers in race and style. No matter what, they're still a legendary couple.
