The reader is taken step by step from the concept of a development project and its preparation cycle to its actual management, and is given many details related to the initiation, control and closure processes. The reader is then introduced to public concepts and the various cycles specific to goods, civil works or services. Procurement planning and monitoring, the various types of contracts and the intricacies of contract administration are also discussed. The international commerce terms (Incoterms) are presented in a separated appendix, and a detailed glossary is included.
